Who are we?
We are Malin Marine Consultants (part of Malin Group). We offer a range of specialist technical services across a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines, including stability, structural and mooring analyses, feasibility, concept and FEED solutions. Our clients range from ferry, naval and commercial vessel operators to shipyards, marine civil contractors and marine infrastructure owners.
We are driven by three core values that inform every decision, every action, and every interaction. We Care, We Share and We Thrive - these three pillars form the foundation upon which our company is built. "We Care" is more than just a phrase; it's a commitment to empathy, compassion, and positive impact. We care about our colleagues, our clients, our community, and our environment and we strive to create a positive impact on each and every one of them. "We Share" is about collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect. We believe that together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone, and we foster an environment where ideas are shared, expertise is passed on, and successes and celebrated. And finally, "We Thrive" - this is where we push boundaries, innovate, and strive for excellence. We thrive on challenges, we thrive on learning, and we thrive on the pursuit of greatness. These values are not just words on a wall; they are the guiding principles that define our culture, shape our behaviour, and inspire our collective success.
What will you be doing?
As Naval Architect within Malin Marine Consultants, you will find yourself working on a variety of exciting engineering projects ranging from research and development to vessel design and delivery. You will also be exposed to transformational development projects such as Mari Light, that aims to disrupt the maritime industry with positive change.
You will be responsible for concept and feasibility studies, naval architecture studies and structural analysis, with major input into our research and development projects. All whilst maintaining a close watch on industry trends within your field of expertise.
Malin Marine Consultants are driven by ethical engineering principles, focusing on new technologies that deliver better solutions whilst reducing environmental impact and delivering social value to local and national communities.
What we're looking for?
We are looking for someone who embodies a unique blend of technical expertise, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Given the complex and multidisciplinary nature of naval architecture we are looking for someone to take ownership of a variety of technical packages across our exciting projects and see through to delivery.
You will be minimum degree level qualified in relevant subject or have an appropriate level of relevant industry experience.
