The Opportunity This is your chance to drive innovation by working on a wide range of international maritime projects improving coastal resilience against natural hazards and climate change. You'll play a key role in shaping sustainable built environments by collaborating with a talented team and working with prestigious clients. As a Coastal Engineer at Arup, you will: <ul> <li> Develop metocean and coastal modelling studies. </li> <li> Design maritime and coastal protection (nature-based solutions, breakwaters, erosion protection, etc.) and flood protection structures. </li> <li> Be involved in the assessment and management of coastal, estuarine and marine areas, including reports, plans, specifications, and budget estimates. </li> <li> Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, working with multidisciplinary teams across Arup offices globally. </li> </ul>Does this role inspire you? We're looking for someone who is passionate about coastal resilience. You'll also need: <ul> <li> Engineering degree qualified in civil engineering with specialisation in maritime or coastal discipline or equivalent; </li> <li> At least 3 years post - qualification design experience in coastal engineering; </li> <li> Experience in Coastal Hydrodynamics and Morphology modelling. </li> <li> Experience in Coastal Erosion Risk Assessment would be an advantage </li> <li> Two or more years' experience in Irish/UK market and/or knowledge of one or more European languages would be an advantage. </li> </ul>Why Arup?
