We are working with a Major Oil &amp; Gas operator to source for Construction Lead (Structural) - Offshore Installation specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below: Title: Construction Lead (Structural) - Offshore Installation Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice) Duration: 36 months (potential for extension) Location: Onshore (site based) Working Schedule: 6-days per week / 10 hours per day Location: Qatar / Oman (Onshore) - Mobilization to Doha and will move to Oman by 1st Quarter 2026. Then assignment will be in Oman until 1st quarter 2029 Job Purpose: <ul> <li> Oversee the planning preparation and execution of all aspects of the Compression Platform Structural Fabrication requirements of the project from yard activities to load out ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded. </li><li> In addition ensure the constructability of the design is consistent with established Project Engineering Drawings and industry processes and standards, effectively manage issues and resolution through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams delivering full alignment of the Fabrication execution. </li></ul>Key Accountabilities: <ul> <li> Reports to COMP4 Construction Area Manager (Compression Platform). </li><li> Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process. </li><li> Manages and ensures successful execution of CP Topsides structures fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate). </li><li> To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the Structure fabrication, Mechanical Completion to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards. </li><li> To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor. </li><li> To review deviations to QatarEnergy LNG construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built ...) for the construction activities. </li><li> Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required. </li><li> Review Contractor's progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any. </li><li> To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all structure subject, MC,Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting. </li><li> To Participate to Risk Assessments kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential. </li><li> To participate to REX and Lessons Learned for the Company. </li></ul> Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering Knowledge and/or Experience: <ul> <li> 10 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil &amp; Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education. </li><li> Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management and techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions. </li></ul> Technical &amp; Business Skills: <ul> <li> Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies. </li><li> Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope. </li><li> Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope. </li><li> Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities. </li><li> Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc. </li></ul>

Construction Lead (Structural) - Offshore Installation

Qatar, Doha Fulltime: 45 hrs a week Experience: &gt; 10 Years Education Level: Academic Bachelor Conventional Energy Closing: May 30, 2025 Introduction <ul><li>Provide technical expertise in onshore/offshore structures and infrastructure aligned with department objectives in meeting Company strategy.</li><li>Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialized area.</li></ul>What are you going to do <ul><li>Prepare Conceptual Study, Design Basis, and civil/structural/marine/infrastructure design as per Specifications and International Codes such as BS, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC, API RP and Qatar National Construction Standards.</li><li>Provide technical expertise support to Project Team on FEED to detail design, construction and installation.</li><li>Coordinate all aspects of civil/structural/marine engineering and provide technical support to operation and maintenance for across offshore/onshore facilities in addition to supporting Major Projects.</li><li>Develop civil/structural detailed drawings for the department.</li><li>Perform all the necessary complex/high level analysis as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software like STAAD.</li><li>Provide technical support in all sessions of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), RHAZOP, Risk Assessment, Lifting, Excavation Certificate, Inspection Program, etc.</li><li>Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent to outside agencies, conduct technical presentations and support Junior/IDP engineers to develop their capabilities.</li></ul>Essential skills and knowledge <ul><li>BSc. Senior Civil/Structural/Marine Engineer
