Summary We are currently recruiting a Base Technician to work in Lefkada, Greece. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position. What you will be doing: <ul> <li>Completing turnaround service checks and yacht preparation</li> <li>Briefing of clients on yacht mechanical systems and safety equipment</li> <li>Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment- including mechanical, electrical and plumbing, as well as outboard engines</li> <li>Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, including checks and repairs</li> <li>Engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes</li> <li>Emergency call outs for breakdowns</li> <li>Competent movement of yachts between anchor and the dock, and refuelling</li> <li>Ensuring the safety of all clients</li> <li>Assisting clients with queries and problems</li> <li>Assisting with the general running of the base and customer service support</li> <li>Any other duties as advised by your Line Manager</li></ul>The ideal candidate will have the following: <ul> <li>Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 &amp; 4 stroke outboard engines</li> <li>Thorough understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing systems</li> <li>Practically minded with an ability to solve problems</li> <li>Comfortable prioritising and staying on track with tight time constraints</li> <li>Experience interacting with guests</li> <li>Sociable and positive personality</li> <li>A strong team mate</li> <li>Yacht sailing experience is desirable</li> <li>Well organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks</li> <li>A flexible working approach, able to meet operational demands in terms of duties and working hour.</li></ul>Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion We believe people perform best when they can be their true selves, and diverse teams drive better results.
