About the role The Survey Department is responsible for organising the surveying and hydrographic measurements carried out before, during and after dredging or offshore works. This involves working with state-of-the-art equipment. What you'll do For the continuous expansion of the department, we are looking for enthusiastic new colleagues. Depending on your education and experience, you will be deployed on one of several projects worldwide. As Hydrographic Surveyor, your main tasks and responsibilities are: <ul><li>Set-up of survey work at project start-up: installation of equipment (sounding equipment, tide gauges, positioning system equipment, etc.);</li><li>Determining the most suitable sounding method;</li><li>Carrying out the measurements;</li><li>Calculating the dredging quantities carried out;</li><li>Drawing up maps using specific software;</li><li>Maintenance and calibration of the various high-tech systems;</li><li>Point of contact for positioning systems on board the vessels;</li><li>Reporting on activities to line management;</li><li>Monitoring the work of local Surveyors;</li><li>Keeping Survey records up to date.</li></ul>What do you need? You have a degree in Industrial Engineering Construction, Hydrography, Electronics, Geology, Surveying, Geography, Bioengineering or Topography. You are willing to work on our global projects on a 2:1 rotation system, whereby you stay on project for two months followed by 1 month leave. Driving license is a must. Exciting Career Opportunity for Experienced Marine Technicians / Senior Mechanical Maintenance Position: Senior Marine Technician / Boat Maintenance Location: Nieuwpoort, Belgium At a glance This is an excellent opportunity for a strong experienced mechanic/technician to join the Le Boat team where you will play a key role in preparing the boat yard for arriving customers for the season. You are proficient in all operations and maintenance of the boats including electrical and mechanical systems and performing boater training with customers prior to clients leaving on their charter during the season. What you will be doing <ul> <li>Conducting advanced maintenance and repairs on our fleet of fiberglass boats.</li> <li>Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and more.</li> <li>Providing mentorship and guidance to junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise.</li> <li>Collaborating with the Head Technician and Base Manager to ensure efficient operation and timely completion of tasks.</li> <li>Participating in off-site repairs and emergency call-outs as needed during season.</li></ul>What we are looking for: Skills, experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training <ul> <li>Proven experience in boat maintenance, with a strong background in marine systems and equipment.</li> <li>Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and other technical systems.</li> <li>Leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring junior technicians.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Valid driver's license and full eligibility to work in Belgium.</li> <li>Fluency in English is required.</li> <li>Available for working at Saturdays during the season (April - October)</li></ul>Advantagous: <ul> <li>Certificate from a marine college or equivalent (an advantage).</li> <li>A passion for boating and relevant experience.</li> <li>Other language skills as Dutch, German, French would be desirable.</li></ul>We offer: <ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience.
