Job Description Who are we looking for? This is an expression of interest for a Marine Structural Engineer with expertise in maritime-related fields. The ideal candidate will have technical capability in: <ul> <li>Maritime structures, including jetties, wharves, and ports</li> <li>Seismic analysis and design of structures (response spectrum, push-over, non-linear time history, etc.)</li> <li>Soil-structure interaction analysis using geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, Slide, Lpile, etc.) is a plus</li> <li>Site inspection work</li></ul>What will you be doing? You will be working with an energetic and high-performing team, and your role will involve: <ul> <li>Providing technical expertise on projects and contributing to structural and geotechnical assessments related to marine projects, including calculations, design drawings, specifications, and reporting</li> <li>Leading the delivery of marine projects</li> <li>Facilitating weekly engineering meetings to review contractor work method statements and technical engineering deliverables</li> <li>Coordinating and liaising with multi-disciplines within the clients' owners team</li> <li>Completing in-field verification safety audits regularly</li> <li>Facilitating workshop discussions with the contractor and owners' team stakeholders</li> <li>Positively contributing to the site safety culture and the wellbeing of the workforce</li> <li>Participating and contributing to weekly progress reviews (cost &amp; program) and providing recommendations to the client and contractor</li></ul>What will you bring to the team? <ul> <li>A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; licensed status is a plus</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years' work experience in the related field</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in marine structures, including the design of steel and concrete elements for marine structures</li> <li>A sound understanding of structural engineering technologies and first principles, including soil/structure interaction to support structural design projects. Typical designs would include driven and bored piles, sheetpile walls, and revetments</li> <li>Proactive communication skills at all levels, with a genuine willingness to help others and proven time management skills to meet deadlines</li> <li>High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload</li> <li>Strong team development skills and a team player</li> <li>Initiative to work in a collaborative team environment and contribute to the remediation of existing infrastructure</li></ul>This position can be based either in Makati and/or Quezon City depending on your home base / location.
