To learn more about the Division of Wildlife please visit please visit <a href="https://wildohio.gov" target="_blank">https://wildohio.gov</a> What you will do: <ul> <li>Develops &amp; implements sampling for the study of fish population dynamics, fish habitat, community interactions, diet analysis, age &amp; growth. </li> <li>Conducts &amp; oversees Lake Erie field assessment &amp; research of Lake Erie fisheries (i.e., harvest and fish population assessment, plankton, invertebrates, habitat, and limnological conditions) using appropriate sampling methods (i.e., gill nets, trawls, electrofishing, plankton nets, hydroacoustics, tagging, creel). </li> <li>Conducts &amp; oversees laboratory analysis of field samples (i.e., fish age and growth, population parameters, fish diet analysis, &amp; taxonomy of various aquatic organisms) using laboratory procedures &amp; equipment. </li> <li>Collates biological data using appropriate statistical methods; develops computer data formats, data bases, &amp; programs for statistical analysis; interprets analyses &amp; drafts special reports &amp; technical publications; recommends management practices based upon research &amp; survey results. </li> <li>Represents the department on technical committees of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission's Lake Erie Committee &amp; in that capacity, coordinates research with other agencies &amp; institutions &amp; participates in modeling fish yields &amp; population dynamics. </li> <li>Starting hourly pay of $26.72/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7 years of service, with an end salary of $35.31/hr.</li> </ul>At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans. POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Marine Service Technician performs all service and warranty repairs on boats, motors, trailers or ATVs in a timely and efficient manner according to manufacturer specifications.
