Diesel Fitter / Marine Mechanic - Permanent Full-Time Townsville - QLD <ul><li>Join an award-winning tourism and transport company </li><li>Full-time permanent position available immediately</li></ul>SeaLink North Qld is looking for a Marine Maintenance Technician to join our marine workshop as soon as possible. Are you a Marine Maintenance Technician with mechanical or electrical backgrounds? Looking for a permanent position in Townsville? We encourage you to apply! About the role In this role, you will be based in our on-shore workshop and carry out scheduled and breakdown maintenance on vessels and other company assets when and as directed by the Maintenance Manager. You will conduct regular inspections and maintenance on vessels and machinery. Clear communication, physical fitness, and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines are paramount in this role. Random drug and alcohol tests are carried out regularly. Ordinary working days are Monday to Friday full-time hours, however, this role may require emergency maintenance to be performed outside of ordinary working hours and the role is required to participate in a weekend duty phone roster. SeaLink North Queensland operates from Townsville delivering daily ferry passenger services to Magnetic Island and 6 services a week to Palm Island. Our tourism operations include local tours to Cape Cleveland Lighthouse, Orpheus Island, Palm Island, Whale Watching Tours, charters, and ship-to-shore transfers for visiting cruise ships between Airlie Beach and Port Douglas.
