Job ID:40681 Marine &amp; Offshore Surveyor Lloyd's Register Location: - Viareggio, Italy What we're looking for <ul> <li>To be a part of our team based in Viareggio mainly involved in Yacht New Building activities </li></ul>What we offer you <ul> <li>The opportunity to work for an organization that has a strong sense of purpose, is values driven and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes</li> <li>A Full-time permanent role </li></ul>The role <ul> <li>Proactively support the service delivery team contributing to the success of the Marine &amp; Offshore and LR as a wholes</li> <li>Survey at equipment manufacturer's works for both verification and certification requirements.</li> <li>Provide technical assistance, as requested, to Marine &amp; Offshore Surveyors in other operating regions.</li> <li>Control of 'management of change' processes for a variety of clients</li> <li>Prepare/Review Performance Standards and Written Schemes of Verification.</li> <li>Support opportunities for business in the local area</li> <li>Provide good control of assigned work, including communicating with clients, financial control, and timely and accurate reporting.</li> <li>Take an active role in all work in the area, proactively managing contracts with a focus on service delivery, retention and developing client relationships.</li> <li>Work closely with colleagues from other departments and business streams, encouraging collaboration and supporting business interests.</li> <li>Work in accordance with role profile and behavioural competencies for the band and work with the team to ensure that they achieve their behavioural competencies for their band.</li></ul>What you bring <ul> <li>Degree-qualified surveyor, however, candidates with other qualifications and relevant industrial experience will be considered.</li> <li>Sufficient knowledge to obtain authorisations to enable survey of electrical and mechanical aspects</li> <li>Preferred but not necessary: Experience of verification and/or class, statutory and engineering experience with a working knowledge of international codes and standards </li> <li>A proven track record of relevant transferable skills and experience.</li> <li>Strategic thinking recognises how own work contributes to the team's objectives.</li> <li>Change management skills; understands the need for change and can adapt own independent specialist role/team working processes to accommodate such change</li> <li>Inspirational, motivational Skills, demonstrate self-motivation to achieve own performance objectives.</li> <li>Technically strong, with good communication skills and a willingness to find solutions, the role requires confidence in making decisions, sometimes under pressure, and an understanding of the commercial aspects of the work.</li> <li>Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues in person.</li> <li>Be a self-starter.
