Marine Careers: 

The marine environment offers a range of varied, challenging and fascinating careers. Discover some examples of careers in the marine industry and the steps you need to take to succeed. With 70% of the Earth’s surface covered by ocean and 90% of global trade carried by ship, it’s no surprise that there are many maritime career opportunities available in engineering, science and technology.

 

Professional Registration:

Showcase your competencies to employers and clients through professional registration – gain Chartered, Incorporated/Registered or Technician status. We offer registration in marine engineering, science and technology. There are many routes that can be offered to meet these standards, including a combination of academic awards, vocational qualifications, experiential learning and competence.

 

Training & Events Providers: 

Our members value a programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and the IMarEST offers recognition for training programmes, courses and events around the world. Sea Your Future: 

Supporting trainees, students, apprentices and cadets through their qualifications and for those starting out in their careers. The Sea Your Future (SYF) Steering Group aims to encourage students, graduates, apprentices and cadets to enhance their specialised skills by engaging with professional development opportunities at the IMarEST.  Join the Sea Your Future discussion on IMarEST Connect, our all-member engagement and networking platform.
