Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm Inch Cape is a 1080MW offshore wind farm situated 15km from the Angus coast in the North Sea. The power it generates will be transmitted 85 kilometres to a new substation at Cockenzie, in East Lothian from where it will enter the national transmission system. Inch Cape is a more than £3 billion infrastructure project that will make a significant contribution to the UK's carbon emissions reduction targets. Once complete its 72 turbines will generate enough electricity to power almost half the homes in Scotland. Summary of Assignment: We are looking for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to lead the Transport and Installation (T&amp;I) of export cables on Inch Cape offshore wind farm. The OIM will take full ownership of the offshore execution of cable activities, overseeing the logistics, marine operations, and installation works to ensure a safe and successful project delivery in alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities <ul><li>Lead the execution delivery for Transport &amp; Installation (T&amp;I) campaign of export cables, including load-out, transport, cable laying, burial, pull-ins, and termination/testing.</li><li>Lead and coordinate offshore installation teams and contractor personnel on cable lay vessels, trenching vessels, and support craft.</li><li>Oversee the safe marine transport of cables and equipment from storage/load-out ports to the offshore site, ensuring compliance with handling procedures and marine warranty requirements.</li><li>Ensure the T&amp;I contractor executes the works in line with the Installation Procedure, method statements, risk assessments, and project schedule.</li><li>Proactively secure interfaces to related work packages to de-risk package scope.</li><li>Monitor marine coordination, DP operations, and vessel performance throughout all offshore operations.</li><li>Manage interface and sequencing with other offshore scopes (e.g., foundations, offshore substations, array cables).</li><li>Uphold and enforce HSE standards, including Permit to Work (PTW), toolbox talks, emergency drills, and incident reporting.</li><li>Drive progress tracking and reporting (daily progress reports, KPI monitoring, HSE reporting) to the onshore execution team.</li><li>Support offshore readiness reviews, walk-to-work (W2W) planning, weather windows assessments, and marine operations planning.</li><li>Be accountable for offshore execution risk management and mitigation measures in line with the project risk register.</li></ul>Skills / experience: <ul><li>Significant experience in offshore wind farm installation, particularly in export cable transport and installation (T&amp;I).</li><li>Proven track record as an Offshore Installation Manager, Cable Package Rep, or similar offshore leadership role.</li><li>Certified for offshore work: BOSIET / GWO, OGUK / ENG1 medical, and relevant STCW or marine safety certifications.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of subsea cable handling, vessel operations (DP2/DP3), and marine logistics.</li><li>Familiar with marine warranty surveyor (MWS) requirements, load-out operations, and offshore project documentation.</li><li>Solid understanding of HSE regulations, CDM, LOLER, PUWER, and environmental controls.</li><li>Effective communicator and leader with excellent organizational and coordination skills.</li><li>Willingness to work on a rotational offshore schedule (e.g., 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off).</li><li>Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Marine Operations, or a related technical discipline is a plus.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Degree in Mechanical, Geotechnical, Civil or Structural Engineering.</li></ul>If you wish to make a big impact in renewables and being involved in this innovative project do not hesitate to apply. The post offers an exciting opportunity for the right applicant to be part of a professional multi-skilled team operating on the Raasay Ranges out of BUTEC, Kyle of Lochalsh for customers who expect and deserve the best service. As the Vessel Engineer, you will have the overall responsibility for the operational state and maintenance of all machinery and electrical equipment on board the vessel. Main accountabilities: <ul> <li>Ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary and deck machinery, electrical appliances, domestic installations, fittings and structures within and out with the machinery spaces and such items as may be detailed by the Company from time to time.</li> <li>Consult at least daily with the Master in order to achieve the maximum economy consistent with the minimum efficiency required of the machinery under their charge. They must keep the Master promptly and fully informed of any occurrences in the engine room which might affect navigation or the essential services under his control.</li> <li>Assist the Master to ensure compliance with all relevant Oil and Environmental Pollution Prevention Legislation and to ensure that all responsible Officers are familiar with Emergency Procedures, Contingency Plans and capable of operating all Safety and Pollution Prevention equipment and appliance.</li> <li>Become familiar with details of vessel's construction, machinery and operating characteristics.</li> <li>Be responsible for the overall control configuration of the vessel and all systems / equipment.</li> <li>Keep a careful account of all labour coming under their jurisdiction so that contractors' bills can be checked and to ensure suitable quality of workmanship.</li> <li>Submit accurate figures to the Master each day, showing the quantities of bunkers, lubricating oils and water consumed and remaining onboard.</li> <li>Ensure that all Planned Maintenance and both normal and emergency repair work is carried out. Ensure that all work is planned for minimum disruption to the vessel's overall programme and maximum reliability and availability of the plant.</li> <li>Carry out all Company Rules and Procedures relating to their department, making sure that Company requirements are met particularly safety, or any relevant matters.</li> <li>Be on stand by whilst entering or leaving port, in confined waters and as specifically requested by the Master or dictated by any trials programme. Short breaks may be taken from this routine, but the Vessel Engineer will ensure that they are easily contactable in order to take charge of the Engine Room.</li> <li>Make sure that navigational requests/telegraphic or other orders from bridge in so far as they affect the vessel's propulsion plant are carried out promptly.</li> <li>Make regular inspections of machinery and machinery spaces so that at all times they are aware of condition and operational capability of all items of machinery.</li> <li>Personally supervise the bunkering of the vessel taking care that the quantity and quality is as ordered.</li> <li>Arrange all transfers of fuel/lube oil/ballast/fresh water, checking their plans with the Master prior to actioning.</li> <li>Schedule in port Watchkeeper to be on board at all times when machinery is being operated.</li> <li>Prepare all spare gear orders, spare gear inventory lists and ensure spares are sorted properly, all procedures as per Company instructions.
