About You The ideal candidate will be skilled and a team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude, and have flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and public holidays. You will be an: <ul> <li>Experienced Marine Engineer with minimum MED 2 or, MED 1 qualification (preferably within the Marine Tourism industry);</li> <li>Good level of marine engine and system knowledge;</li> <li>Experience in conducting risk assessments and introducing practical safety measures;</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills ensuring to meet the guest expectations;</li> <li>Experience with high speed vessels;</li> <li>Excellent ability to manage time and have strong organisational skills;</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and</li> <li>Excellent communication and problem solving skills with customer service resolution skill.</li> </ul>About the Role We are seeking a Marine Vessel Engineer to join the team on a full-time or part-time, seasonal contract (November 2024 to April 2024), working a lifestyle roster, casual opportunities are also available. The successful candidate will perform daily preventative maintenance tasks and, will be responsible for maintaining the safe mechanical operation of vessels ensuring all repairs are conducted safely and efficiently as per set procedures.
