Together, we will identify pollution sources, pathways, and impacts on sensitive receptors and develop engineered and nature-based solutions. The role encompasses scoping, data collection, development, execution, and presentation of multidimensional environmental water quality models. These models simulate the behaviour of reservoirs, lakes (Loughs and Lochs), transitional, and coastal waters. As an experienced professional, you are expected to work independently and with minimal supervision, with extensive relevant experience that includes the following: <ul> <li>A good understanding of numerical modelling equations and discretisation, 2D mesh generation</li> <li>Experience using numerical modelling software such as MIKE, Delft3D, and Telemac, with proven applications in relevant fields. This experience might include modelling hydrodynamics, multiphase flows, particle tracking, advection dispersion, water quality, and chemical processes.</li> <li>Ideally, you will also have a basic understanding of physicochemical water quality, as well asa good understanding of oceanography and the associated regulatory standards for fresh and/or marine waters.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and the experience and confidence to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders working closely with clients, as well as other professional staff across multidisciplinary business groups.</li> </ul>We are proud of our culture. Job Description ABOUT YOU As the Marine Environmental Consultant, you will be undertaking and managing a range of environmental studies, including EIA, SEA and HRA. It will be varied, across a portfolio of projects and sectors including subsea cables, offshore renewables, and oil and gas - ensuing consultancy solutions that are sustainable, as we transition to a low carbon future.
