As a Principal Flood Risk Consultant you will lead the production of flood risk consenting related documents for our major clients, and manage a small but growing team in the Croydon office. Opportunity for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join our growing, multidisciplinary team in Cheltenham, GL50 3QQ, in autumn 2025. As a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant, you will deliver hydraulic modelling to support nature-based solutions, Flood Risk Assessments and drainage design. Current projects include a settlement wide flood alleviation scheme, the redevelopment of a brownfield site for residential development, and a proposed 2500 unit 'new community'. About the Role The Traffic &amp; Flood Risk Management Service area seeks to deliver an excellent customer focused service in an efficient, effective, and economic manner, with specific focus of the Council's role as the Highway Authority whilst adhering to Corporate, Departmental and Government priorities. The Senior Officer's primary purpose is to support the Flood Risk Management Team to effectively manage, develop and deliver the flooding duties of the City Council. The role is required to manage the investigation of flooding matters, to evaluate options that address and resolve issues and develop assets vital to the continued commercial footing of the Service Area. We are looking for a proactive and efficient individual, who can put citizens and customers first and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. They must also be organised and have excellent communication skills to ensure that the outputs of the service area are maintained to professional standards.
