We are undertaking projects in natural flood management, flood forecasting, flood alleviation and helping water companies with elements of their water resources and water quality issues. Beyond this, we work internationally and have work committed across the globe, including the Red Sea economic zone, Al Bada developments in the middle east, and EIA work in North America. You will be able to build strong relationships with our clients with a high degree of collaborative working skills to ensure we get the best from our working relationships with client teams. Essential for this role: <ul><li>Proven in-depth experience of 1D-2D modelling using InfoWorks ICM. </li><li>Relevant years of experience in carrying out flood risk analyses for strategy, planning, development, and or design purposesin line with the level of the role.</li><li>GIS skills in ArcGIS, MapInfo or QGIS.</li><li>Experience in developing and leading technical teams, supporting and mentoring staff.</li><li>The ability to use professional judgement to make robust decisions with the information available, a track record of project delivery and performance, meeting client requirements and commercial awareness.</li></ul>Advantages for this role: <ul><li>Use of other software, like Flood Modeller, TUFLOW / ESTRY or HEC-RAS is an advantage.</li><li>Experience in FEH hydrological assessment is desirable with a working knowledge of UK hydrology.</li></ul>AtkinsRéalis and its clients value you having a Chartered status at this grade. Associate Flood Risk Consultant

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join our thriving Water Environment team within our Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team, lead models on a range of projects locally and nationally, and mentor and develop other business consultants. You will bring substantial expertise in conducting flood risk assessments in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and, where applicable, Technical Advice Note 15 (TAN 15). However, the primary emphasis of this position lies in hydrological and hydraulic modelling, frequently utilising software such as Flood Modeler Pro or TUFLOW. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the operational frameworks of the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales, as well as Lead Local Flood Authorities.
