OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE: The Submarine Installation Marine Engineer role covers mainly the function of Installation Engineer in the office work and partially Offshore Manager/Deputy Offshore Manager in the offshore installation sites. KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES Installation Engineer in the office work This activity can be called Detailed Engineering for project specific installation works. Tasks are conducted in coordination with other colleagues of Installation Department and with other functions such as System Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, purchasing with the aim of supporting the execution of the submarine systems projects awarded to Prysmian. The activity is carried out mainly on installation vessels or more in general, on other marine installation sites, such as landing points, offshore platforms, etc. He/She works in teams of different dimensions depending on the work importance and complexity. Marine Operation Superintendent in the offshore installation sites This part of the role covers the operative execution on all marine installation sites activities for the implementation of a Project. <ul><li>Preliminary Works: Route clearance, pre-lay burial runs, and vessel mobilization.</li><li>Cable Operations: Loading, laying, burial, pulling through conduits or onto platforms, repair, and jointing.</li><li>Technical/Quality Management: Ensuring compliance with specifications and project documentation.</li><li>Health and Safety: Ensuring safety for all personnel and reporting to the installation team.</li><li>Environmental Compliance: Adhering to policies to preserve the environment and prevent pollution.</li><li>Asset Care: Verifying and maintaining all assets, including vessels and installation equipment.</li><li>Installation Assets: Defining, selecting, and preparing installation assets.</li><li>Project Constraints: Adhering to contract clauses and specifications.</li><li>Operative Schedule: Ensuring efficiency and adherence to plans.</li><li>Client Relationship: Managing client representatives on site.</li><li>Subcontractor Supervision: Overseeing subcontractors during installation.</li><li>Departmental Interface: Regular reporting to various company departments.</li></ul>Installation Engineer in the office work Tasks are conducted in coordination with other colleagues of Installation Department and with other functions such as System Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, purchasing with the aim of supporting the execution of the submarine systems projects awarded to Prysmian. <ul><li>Support the preparation of installation documentation for the project execution</li><li>Support the subcontractor selection, starting from the preparation of specification to be used as technical documents in the request for quotation. </li><li>Interact with project Clients, mainly on technical, planning, operative aspects, in conference telecommunications or direct meetings </li><li>Prepare As-built documentation during project completion phasemainly gathering all reports, records, certificates, quality documents, etc issued throughout the project execution from all operative sites. </li></ul>You are the right fit if you have/are: <ul><li>Fluent in English</li><li>Degree in Engineering</li><li>Up to 2/5 years of experience in role involved in installation of submarine cable but more in general in the construction industry.</li><li>Availability to spend long periods abroad offshore (approx. 60-70% per year).</li><li>Leadership attitude.</li><li>Good communication skills and relationship approach with Clients and subcontractors.</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with attitude to manage properly priorities in coordination with Management.</li><li>Attitude to fast learning and self-commitment.</li><li>Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset.</li></ul>What we offer you: <ul><li>Permanent Contract </li><li>Hybrid working model: 8 days per month </li><li>Flexible working hours </li><li>Ticket Restaurants: 9 Euro per day </li><li>Health Insurance </li><li>Company support on public transportation </li><li>Annual Bonus and Stock option plans </li><li>Collaborative environment </li><li>Dynamic and Respectful Workplace </li></ul>Our selection process: Our hiring process consists of four main steps: 1) application, 2) HR interview, 3) hiring manager interviews and 4) online assessment.
