The position has been established for the purpose of supporting the Marine Engineering &amp; Technical Studies Team, dealing with the preparation &amp; submission to classification societies of technical studies relevant to vessels' modifications, conversions, outfitting and customizations necessary for meeting project and client requirements. Responsibilities Main Responsibilities <ul> <li>Conducting strength FEA analysis for the installation of various equipment onboard company's vessels'; </li> <li>Preparation of the structural reinforcement drawings for project outfitting, conversion, modifications, etc;</li> <li>Experience in loading conditions preparations - stability model preparation &amp; calculations </li> <li>Follow up on the plan approval process with classification societies; </li> <li>Conducts feasibility studies (conceptual/structural) for project bidding stage; </li> <li>Follow up of outsources tasks, when/where required; </li> <li>Research for available technology/means/equipment to suit specific requirements, new rules &amp; regulations;</li> </ul>Onboard Attendance <ul><li>Attendance on-board for pre - design inspection (If required); </li></ul><ul><li>Controls quality of executed works. (If required);</li></ul>Inter-departmental &amp; External Communication <ul> <li>Reports to Marine Engineering &amp; Design Manager;</li> <li>Cooperates with other teams among (such as PM, Vessel Managers, Conversion teams etc);</li> <li>Communicates with Company's external associates for naval architecture and marine engineering;</li> <li>Communicates with Recognized Organizations (Class Societies) and Flag Administration;</li> <li>Communicates with client technical staff, third-party surveyors and other inspectors</li> </ul>Requirements <ul> <li>Degree in Naval Architecture; </li> <li>MSc in Naval Architecture - Engineering would be beneficial;;</li> <li>Minimum 4 years of work experience in a similar role;</li> <li>Experience in reporting </li> <li>Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language</li> <li>Proficient in use of design software (FEA Strength Analysis Software - ANSYS, RHINO, Autodesk Inventor &amp; AutoCAD);</li> <li>Microsoft Office</li> </ul>Benefits <ul> <li>Fast-paced environment</li> <li>Private medical insurance</li> <li>Company Bus from central points</li> <li>Specialization in a niche market</li> <li>Competitive compensation</li> <li>Continuous development opportunities</li> </ul>This job description is intended to convey information essential to understand the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
