This role supports U.S. Navy Submarines under the direction of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Submarine Torpedo systems. Position Responsibilities: <ul><li>Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:<ul><li>Submarine Weapon Delivery Systems<ul><li>Torpedo Tubes</li><li>Vertical Launching System</li><li>3" Launcher (Countermeasure) System</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.</li><li>Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.</li></ul>Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Must be a U.S. citizen </li><li>Must be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance </li><li>NEC: TM-737B - SSN 688 and 774 Vertical Launch System Operations and Tube Maintenance</li><li>6+ years of related experience with 688 Los Angeles-class submarines</li><li>Advanced knowledge and proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems</li><li>Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system drawings, and procedural corrective and repair standards.</li><li>Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position is ideally suited for individuals with Engineering Department experience, proficient in Marine Propulsion, Electrical, Auxiliary, and control systems. Work is performed at a Navy Training Command located at Naval Amphibious (NAB) Coronado, CA.
