Mission The Senior Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading complex projects, overseeing project teams, and acting as a key contact between the company, staff, and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion. Education Master's Degree in Naval Engineering or Civil Engineering Qualifications - +8 years of experience in an engineering or technical role within a project setting, ideally with exposure to cross-functional teamwork. In alternative 5 years of experience in associate project management role. - Professional project management certifications are highly desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar). A certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) can also be beneficial. - Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean), with the ability to tailor approaches based on project requirements. - Advanced skills in manage schedules, resources, and budgets effectively. - In-depth understanding of project lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, risk management, quality control, and change management. - Good understanding of the specific industry's standards, practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IT, construction, engineering, or other relevant sectors). - Proficiency with contracts, client management, and vendor relations. OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE: The Submarine Installation Marine Engineer role covers mainly the function of Installation Engineer in the office work and partially Offshore Manager/Deputy Offshore Manager in the offshore installation sites. KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES Installation Engineer in the office work This activity can be called Detailed Engineering for project specific installation works. Tasks are conducted in coordination with other colleagues of Installation Department and with other functions such as System Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, purchasing with the aim of supporting the execution of the submarine systems projects awarded to Prysmian. The activity is carried out mainly on installation vessels or more in general, on other marine installation sites, such as landing points, offshore platforms, etc. He/She works in teams of different dimensions depending on the work importance and complexity. Main activities falling under the responsibility of the Superintendent, are including but not limited to: <ul><li>Preliminary works, such as route clearance, PLGR, pre-lay burial runs, mobilization of vessels</li><li>Cable loading</li><li>Cable laying</li><li>Cable burial with a wide variety of tools/machines</li><li>Cable pulling through HDD conduits or onto offshore platforms</li><li>Cable repair and jointing </li></ul>The duties contained in this job description are not exhaustive and the job holder may be asked by management to undertake reasonable duties associated with this function Function requires significant travel on an international basis.
