Are you a senior structural/civil marine engineer looking for the next step in your career? What will you do Your role will involve using your technical and practical experience to develop engineering design solutions for maritime civil engineering structures in ports and shipyards, utilizing materials such as steel, concrete, and timber according to relevant design codes. You will contribute to all project stages, from inception through design and construction to demolition, recycling, and reuse. Your technical and commercial experience, along with your ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams, will be vital to the success of the projects you work on. You will act as a Project Manager for small and medium-sized projects or a Technical Manager on large/complex projects. You provide guidance to more junior staff, including project managers, engineers, graduates, technicians and admin staff working on your projects. Furthermore, you will: <ul> <li>Prepare designs and analysis for maritime and associated structures for ports and shipyards.</li> <li>Carry out inspections and surveys.</li> <li>Produce design calculations and check and review calculations produced by others.</li> <li>Check and review models and drawings before issuing them.</li> <li>Prepare Bills of Quantities, Contract Documents, and Specifications.</li> <li>Undertake structural analyses and reporting.</li> </ul>Your role will involve giving presentations to client organisations and internal audiences, providing engineering judgment and advice, and reviewing (or preparing) study reports to a high standard of written English. You will provide commercial awareness of projects to deliver profitable results within the programme by setting and agreeing expectations and achieving on-time delivery. You will contribute to local, national, and international business development efforts through the production of proposals and interaction with clients. Principal Maritime Engineer

Principal/Associate Director Marine Environmental Consultant - offshore wind/interconnectors The Opportunity: TetraTech RPS Energy is adding a Principal / Associate Director Environmental Consultant - EIA - Offshore Wind to our Marine Consenting team. This role will deliver client projects in the UK and internationally, predominantly for Offshore Wind and Interconnectors but also in other offshore/coastal sectors we are involved in. We operate a hybrid working arrangement and you can be based in Edinburgh, Woking, Chepstow, Aberdeen or London (home working can be considered). We have flexible working opportunities, including part time roles, to ensure a balance of family and working life. We are at the forefront of the industry - delivering offshore infrastructure projects in complex marine environments including offshore wind farm developments. Our experience includes 20 years working across the UK, wider Europe, Americas, Australia and Asia. You'll become a member of a deeply experienced marine consenting and environment team who have been selected as the lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA) consultant for some of the industry's major "firsts". These include the world's largest offshore wind farms at the point of being constructed: Orsted's Hornsea One, Two and Three, and Scotland's largest offshore wind farm SSE's Berwick Bank.
