Binnen de afdeling Marine behandelen we schades en inspecties van vaartuigen. Dit varieert o.a. van werkschepen tot marine schepen tot superjachten. We voeren grondig onderzoek uit de naar aard, toedracht, omvang van de schade waarbij wij tevens de claim beoordelen. Daarbij volgen wij de richtlijnen van het Nederlands Instituut van Register Experts (NIVRE). Hierbij komt een groot aantal issues aan bod, van milieuverontreiniging tot schade door tijdverlies. Geen dag is dus hetzelfde! Zo start je de dag bijvoorbeeld op kantoor in Rotterdam om rapporten van geïnspecteerde schades af te maken, en word je binnen een uur gebeld om een schade te inspecteren. Dit kan overal in Nederland zijn, of ter wereld. Van de bevindingen en vaststellingen stel jij een helder rapport op, op basis waarvan opdrachtgevers in staat zijn de schade financieel af te wikkelen met hun klanten of tegenpartijen. Hiervoor stel je een eerste rapport op, waarin je een grove inschatting maakt wat er gebeurd is en wat de verwachte kosten en werkzaamheden zullen zijn. Hierna ga je verder met het onderzoek en schrijf je aansluitend een definitief rapport. Het is van groot belang hier nauwkeurig in te zijn en deze weer tijdig op te leveren bij belanghebbende partijen. Ook onderhoud en bouw je eigen relaties op met zowel opdrachtgevers, verzekeringsmakelaars als verzekeraars. Position: Senior Marine technician Location: Hindeloopen, Friesland Department: Operations Start Date: as soon as possible Contract type: Permanent - full time 40 hours p/w Line Manager: Base manager At a glance This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic/technician to join the Le Boat team where you will play a key role in maintaining and preparing the charter boat fleet for and during the season. You should be proficient in all operations and maintenance of boats including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. You will also instruct our customers on how to operate and manoeuvre their boat, prior to leaving on their holiday. What you will be doing • Knowledge of marine diesel engine (knowledges of Nanni engine would be an advantage). • You will carry out technical interventions on pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems. • Ability to perform installations of electrical and mechanical equipment. • Ability to perform small cosmetic fiberglass repairs. • Maintain the fleet to the highest of standards in terms of presentation to the customer and reliability. • Maintain maintenance schedule as per manufactures warranty. • Manage the stock inventory to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts. • Instruct and educate clients during boat orientation and carry out handover tuition including the passage through a lock if needed. • Ensure boat briefings and training leave customer feeling confident with their boat. • Ability to travel with company vehicles to off-site locations to do emergency repairs and attend customer needs (a call out schedule will be put in place for out of hours support in season). • Hauling/launching, commissioning and de-commissioning of fleet. • Fuel dock operations as needed, watering, fuelling, and pumping out holding tanks. • Ensure boats are in maintained in good condition, ready for their next departure • Support customers throughout their cruise in terms of technical assistance, breakdown call outs and general tourist/boater information and advice. • Enthusiasm and flexibility to carry out a wide range of duties determined by business needs.
