The role As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Damen Naval, you'll drive excellence in supplier quality for our cutting-edge naval shipbuilding projects. You'll optimize supplier QA processes and procedures for your assigned projects, ensuring compliance to the highest standards. Your core responsibilities include conducting thorough QA Audits at supplier locations across Western Europe, providing expert oversight, guidance, and comprehensive reporting on any quality issues. This role demands frequent travel to ensure our demanding quality standards are met at every step of the supply chain. Key accountabilities In this role, your responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Leading Supplier QA Audits: Conduct audits, report findings, and drive corrective actions at supplier sites.</li><li>Managing Supplier Quality Risks: Maintain a risk register and implement robust mitigation plans.</li><li>Advancing Supplier QA Standards: Contribute to adapting and applying leading QA principles.</li><li>Ensuring Quality Process Application: Verify correct use of supplier quality protocols and procedures.</li><li>Implementing Tailored QA for Suppliers: Design custom QA processes as needed for unique supplier needs.</li><li>Providing Strategic Quality Updates: Report supplier QA status and issue mitigation to project management.</li></ul>Skills &amp; experience We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: <ul><li>4+ years in Quality Assurance Management, ideally within naval, defense, shipbuilding, or complex industrial sectors.</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes, preferably in shipbuilding.</li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Assurance, Technical Business Administration, Maritime Technology, Shipbuilding, or an equivalent technical field.</li><li>Excellent command of English (written &amp; spoken) is essential.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in conducting quality audits and managing supplier quality risks.</li><li>Solid understanding of QA standards and principles, with a proven ability to contribute to their application and implementation.</li><li>Readiness and capability for frequent travel to supplier locations across Western Europe.</li><li>Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.</li><li>Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Quality Assurance Engineer Shipbuilding

Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee day-to-day construction management of project • Monitor and report to Senior / Project Manager of project progress versus baseline, including issues and risks in a timely manner • Conduct VSCC and take charge of ship work safety and cleanliness • Liaise with trades on the activities and construction effort needed to achieve progress safely, within schedule and budget • Plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to support schedule and cost • Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented • Review man hours and duration forecasts to completion and resource requirements • Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance • Manage schedule, cost-to-completion (CTC) and POC together with Senior / Project Manager • Conduct progress meetings to manage issues • Responsible for planning, scheduling and costing • Support in project tender when called upon or any other adhoc project duties as required • Handle warranty issues • Manage customer expectations at site and maintain good customer relationships Requirements: <ul><li>Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture</li><li>Preferably possess 1 year of experience in newbuild or ship repairs related projects, candidates wtith 3 years or more of experience will be considered at Senior Engineer level</li><li>Completed Ship Repair Manager Course</li><li>Project Management Skills in the following areas: Planning scheduling and costing, Risk management, Manpower management, Customer Relationship management.</li><li>Able to deal and communicate with people effectively at all levels on the ground, identify and manage issues, cost consciousness and urgency to get things done</li><li>Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera or MS Projects will be advantageou</li><li>Able to go onboard vessels</li><li>Able to work on weekends based on project needs</li><li>Only Singapore Citizens will be considered for this role</li></ul>Other Information: <ul><li>Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)</li><li>5 days work week</li><li>Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm</li></ul>

Your role is to take the initial ideas from the client/organization, do the initial feasibility check and ensure that the sales price is accurate. Besides this you will ensure that our product is standardized together with the product manager and ensure that all sales data is up to date.
