Marine Field Service Engineer

Job Location: SRE's Project Office in Taichung, will regularly travel to the Taipei office on a weekly basis. Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and qualified Marine Engineer with a strong background in marine operations, either through a relevant bachelor's degree or hands-on experience. As part of the Construction Team, a cross-project department, the ideal candidate will be responsible for marine operations-related SoW, including supporting the management of offshore contract performance and composing the procedures and templates. This may involve tasks such as overseeing CTV operations, weather forecasting, and Metocean data analysis, etc. Key Responsibilities: 1.On-Duty MC Shift <ul> <li>Take full responsibility for independently managing on-duty Marine Coordinator (MC) shifts.</li></ul>2. Marine Engineer <ul> <li>Enhance Marine Coordination practices by creating templates.</li> <li>Vessel Performance Calculation and Analysis, under the management of the Construction Team.</li> <li>Responsible for Offshore wind related document.</li> <li>Obtain relevant permits, including Marine MPB, NCC, and MoDA.</li> <li>Manage offshore related stakeholders.</li> <li>Manage designated marine operation-related contracts.</li> <li>Be prepared to sail offshore as required to oversee vessel operations, conduct inspections, and provide on-site support to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This may involve business trips and offshore assignments as necessary.</li> <li>Supervise vessel operations and ensure they comply with industry standards and safety regulations while offshore.</li> <li>Conduct vessel on-hire Inspections.</li></ul>Qualifications and Requirements: 1. Proven experience in vessel operations, construction management, or related marine disciplines. 2. Strong understanding of vessel performance metrics, offshore operations, and construction activities. 3. Ability to independently manage on-duty shifts and work with minimal supervision. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 5. Ability to sail offshore and work in challenging environments when required. 6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 7. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to vessel operations and construction. 8. Demonstrate strong proficiency in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant tools. Desirable Skills: 1. Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in the marine industry. 2. Previous experience in offshore construction projects or vessel management. 3. Familiarity with maritime safety standards and regulations. 4. Project management skills and experience coordinating across multiple teams. 5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 6. Possess an easy-going and adaptable demeanor, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively in diverse environments and with various teams. 7. Display strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, especially when dealing with complex information or tasks requiring precision.

Marine Engineer

About the role The Survey Department is responsible for organising the surveying and hydrographic measurements carried out before, during and after dredging or offshore works. This involves working with state-of-the-art equipment. What you'll do For the continuous expansion of the department, we are looking for enthusiastic new colleagues. Depending on your education and experience, you will be deployed on one of several projects in Taiwan (Taichung). As Hydrographic Surveyor, your main tasks and responsibilities are: <ul><li>Set-up of survey work at project start-up: installation of equipment (sounding equipment, tide gauges, positioning system equipment, etc.);</li><li>Determining the most suitable sounding method;</li><li>Carrying out the measurements;</li><li>Drawing up maps using specific software;</li><li>Maintenance and calibration of the various high-tech systems;</li><li>Reporting on activities to line management;</li><li>Monitoring the work of local Surveyors;</li><li>Keeping Survey records up to date.</li></ul>What do you need? You have a degree in Industrial Engineering Construction, Hydrography, Electronics, Geology, Surveying, Geography, Bioengineering or Topography. Driving license is a must.
