You will be part of a team of marine professionals whose duties may include conducting inspections on ships to verify conformance with international and national regulations, investigating marine incidents, conducting training on maritime safety and pollution prevention, monitoring developments in international conventions of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and updating the national shipping regulations. Other duties may include overseeing navigational safety and security in port, regulating marine traffic, enforcing port regulations, coordinating search and rescue operations, auditing port security measures and implementing maritime security measures. Job Description: Marine Surveyor Abu Dhabi, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Marine Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a construction supervision team responsible to supervise a dredging, reclamation, and ground improvement contractor on a high profile project in Abu Dhabi. What You'll Be Doing: <ul><li>Responsible to carry out the marine field surveys in tandem with a team, and dredging/reclamation contractor.</li><li>Responsible to conduct field operations/surveys on land and on marine vessels.</li><li>Responsible to witness contractor performing surveys, logging the information and verifying the installed quantities in coordination with the contractor, employer and quantity surveyors on the team.</li><li>Responsible to identify the client's priority zones on the critical path and update progress reports daily.
