About You: This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System. About the Opportunity: As a member of the NYC Ferry's Engineering Department, you will be responsible for maintenance and repair of all electrical systems on NYC Ferry vessels. NYC Ferry vessels utilize low to medium voltage equipment, in both AC and DC settings. Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Ensure all aspects of safety during task execution. </li><li>Accept tasks from the Shift Supervisor and plans/implements execution. </li><li>Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems on board vessels. </li><li>Provide supervisor with detailed service reports and troubleshooting plans. </li><li>Utilize specialized tools to accomplish assigned tasks. </li><li>Use of approved Haz-mat required for paints, solvents &amp; cleaning agents. </li><li>Seek the highest levels of quality and professionalism. </li><li>Work to achieve the highest levels of performance and productivity. </li><li>Assist supervisors in ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. </li><li>Assist supervisors in ensuring vessel is always in an inspection-ready condition. </li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements &amp; Qualifications: <ul><li>At least 2 years of experience as an electrician; marine experience preferred. </li><li>Formal training as electrician highly preferred (Technical school, Military, and Maritime qualifications will be considered) .</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of electrical safety. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of AC and DC electrical circuits, including but not limited to interpreting electrical schematics, using various electrician tools, and troubleshooting electrical systems. </li><li>Proven track record of working successfully in a team environment. </li><li>Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the USCG including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident/incident testing. </li><li>Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work near water, and work in tight spaces. </li></ul>About Us: Hornblower's passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water. Marine Electrician - NYC Ferry

Salary Range - $21 - $30/hour depending on experience NYC Ferry operated by Hornblower is seeking a Marine Diesel Technician for our operation in Brooklyn, NY. About You: This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System. About the Opportunity: The Diesel Technician is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the diesel main engines and generators onboard fleet vessels. Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Accept tasks from the Engineering Supervisor and plans/implements execution.</li><li>Successfully and safely perform all diesel engine maintenance onboard vessels up to, and including, engine overhauls, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance work.</li><li>Ensure all aspects of safety during task execution.</li><li>Issue company power tools to technicians to accomplish designated tasks. Ensure tools are returned before the end of the shift.</li><li>Ensure company warranty procedures are followed.</li><li>Ensure all shift paperwork is correctly completed and submitted.</li><li>Important vessel information is communicated to other supervisors and the chain of command.</li><li>Seek the highest levels of quality and professionalism.</li><li>Use of approved Hazmat required for Paints, Solvents &amp; Cleaning Agents.</li><li>Perform cleaning and custodial tasks of the vessels and property, including maintenance and construction tasks as assigned and minor engineering repairs and rounds as directed.</li><li>Work to achieve the highest levels of performance and productivity.</li><li>Assist the Port Engineer in ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.</li><li>Assist the Port Engineer in ensuring the vessel is always in an inspection-ready condition.</li><li>Assist with filling water, bunkering fuel, connecting and disconnecting shore power as directed.</li><li>Additional job duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements &amp; Qualifications: <ul><li>HS Diploma</li><li>Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card), and/or ability to obtain and maintain.</li><li>Valid First Aid/CPR Certification, and/or ability to obtain and maintain.</li><li>Valid Driver's License.</li><li>Copy of DD214, if Veteran status.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to effectively interact with the passengers, guests, and fellow employees.</li><li>Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment.</li><li>Mechanical and electrical experience are required.</li><li>Marine mechanical experience is highly desired.</li><li>Proven track record running a maintenance shift is highly desired.</li><li>Proven track record of working successfully in a team environment.</li><li>Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the USCG including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident/incident testing.</li></ul>About Us: Hornblower's passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water.
