About You: This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System. About the Opportunity: The Diesel Technician is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the diesel main engines and generators onboard fleet vessels. This position is for the night shift, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Accept tasks from the Engineering Supervisor and plans/implements execution.</li><li>Successfully and safely perform all diesel engine maintenance onboard vessels up to, and including, engine overhauls, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance work.</li><li>Ensure all aspects of safety during task execution.</li><li>Issue company power tools to technicians to accomplish designated tasks. NYC Ferry vessels utilize low to medium voltage equipment, in both AC and DC settings.
