Essential: <ul> <li>Degree in a related technical field (environmental / civil engineering) or equivalent experience</li> <li>Existing experience of working in Flood Risk Management in the private or public sector (such as the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities or Internal Drainage Boards)</li> <li>Awareness of relevant legislation, planning policy, guides and design standards relating to flood risk management and drainage strategies</li> <li>A sound understanding of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and statutory duties relating to surface water drainage</li> <li>Experience of delivering and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments / Flood Consequence Assessments and or Drainage Strategies to supporting planning applications</li> <li>Experience of using or producing strategic flood risk management documents such as Strategic Flood Risk Assessments / Strategic Flood Consequence Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans or Local Flood Risk Management Strategies</li> <li>Experience of flood investigation work such as delivering Section 19 Flood Investigations</li> <li>Experience of stakeholder engagement both internally and externally on projects or responding to customer queries and requests for information</li> <li>Experience of writing technical and non-technical reports</li> </ul>Desirable: <ul> <li>A full UK driving licence</li> <li>Chartered or working towards chartered status</li> <li>Experience of managing and analysing large datasets and GIS / design software (e.g. MapInfo, Arc, QGIS, AutoCAD)</li> <li>Experience of working with outputs from modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoDrainage or Causeway Flow</li> <li>Able to provide drainage and flood risk management advice from a regulatory perspective</li> </ul>You'll get this and so much more...
