The position follows detailed instructions to carry out feeding, cleaning, and simple monitoring duties and ensures compliance with basic safety and biosecurity procedures. The incumbent may also assist in broodstock management, spawning, and other aquaculture-related tasks, and occasionally support research activities at the Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) as required. Experience in the design of upstream and downstream fish collection facilities, fish passage and screening, acclimation facilities, and aquaculture water treatment is desirable. We also welcome candidates with experience in engineering design of drinking water, wastewater, or raw water systems, pump stations, water or wastewater treatment, or water resource projects with a strong desire to become a proficient practitioner in fish hatcheries and aquaculture.
