[What the role is]
Reporting to MPA's Hydrographic Division, the candidate will be part of our team of maritime professionals whose responsibilities are to ensure safe navigation in Singapore waters by providing hydrographic, cartographic and aids to navigation products and services.
[What you will be working on]
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
Background in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Nautical Studies or Information Technology. Candidates with at least 2 years of prior working experience in related fields such as hydrographic/land surveying, cartography or geographical information systems will have an advantage. You must be independent, meticulous with an eye for detail and a good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

[What you will be working on]
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Supervise a team of Hydrographic Survey officers, including the planning and deployment of survey teams for survey works
- Promote Singapore's interests at international Hydrographic fora
- Manage projects and prepare reports
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor hydrographic survey training programs
- Approval of hydrographic survey reports following the attainment of IHO Cat "A" certification
- Manage internal and external clients to provide hydrographic information to meet client's requirements
- Provision of technical advice on strategic hydrographic survey matters
- Review hydrographic survey contractors' hydrographic surveys procedures and reports
- Responsible for maintaining the functions and equipment for hydrographic surveys
- Responsible for the management of contracts and agreements relating to Hydrographic Survey Department
- Ensure department compliance to international standards and ISO quality management system for hydrographic survey
- Development and delivery of training on subject matter
