Job Title: Estates Engineer - Submarines
Working Pattern: Full Time
Working location: Thurso, Caithness
Grade: Vulcan Grade 8
We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Engineer to join our Thurso team. This is a key role where part of your remit will be to carry out the duties of a Contractor Supervising Officer.
The Vulcan site, at Thurso, is operated by Rolls-Royce on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD). As an authorised nuclear site, knowledge of, and adherence to, the Vulcan Safety and Environment Management system is key to the role.
This role offers a strong mix and variation of tasks involved in supporting the Vulcan Estate.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.

- Support operation of the Vulcan Site
- Promote our safe working practices and processes
- Facilitate the delivery of the department workload using internal and sub-contract resources
- Prepare Safety, contract and maintenance documentation in a timely manner to allow work to proceed unobstructed.
