The Survey Department is responsible for organising the surveying and hydrographic measurements carried out before, during and after dredging or offshore works. This involves working with state-of-the-art equipment.

For the continuous expansion of the department, we are looking for enthusiastic new colleagues. Depending on your education and experience, you will be deployed on one of several projects worldwide. As Hydrographic Surveyor, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
You have a degree in Industrial Engineering Construction, Hydrography, Electronics, Geology, Surveying, Geography, Bioengineering or Topography. You are willing to work on our global projects on a 2:1 rotation system, whereby you stay on project for two months followed by 1 month leave. Driving license is a must.

What you'll do
For the continuous expansion of the department, we are looking for enthusiastic new colleagues. Depending on your education and experience, you will be deployed on one of several projects worldwide. As Hydrographic Surveyor, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Set-up of survey work at project start-up: installation of equipment (sounding equipment, tide gauges, positioning system equipment, etc.);
- Determining the most suitable sounding method;
- Carrying out the measurements;
- Calculating the dredging quantities carried out;
- Drawing up maps using specific software;
- Maintenance and calibration of the various high-tech systems;
- Point of contact for positioning systems on board the vessels;
- Reporting on activities to line management;
- Monitoring the work of local Surveyors;
- Keeping Survey records up to date.
