Job Description
- Conduct marine surveys and perform tasks in accordance with established methodologies, testing protocols, and analysis procedures.
- Execute work assignments within defined scope, following scientific technique guidelines.
- Proficient in the proper usage, maintenance, and storage of survey equipment.
- Conduct marine subtidal and intertidal ecological surveys, including benthic composition, species taxonomy, and habitat assessments.
- Conduct CPCe analysis (or equivalent), QGIS mapping, and habitat mapping.
- Prepare and review the scope of work and methodology for project contracts and proposals.
- Capable of undertaking underwater scientific studies.
- Prepare technical reports, offering recommendations and mitigation measures based on survey findings.
- B.S. or Master's degree in Marine Biology, Marine Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- SCUBA Diver certification, preferably Rescue Diver.
- Good experience and comfort working in marine environments, both on vessels and underwater.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of national and international standards and regulations for marine environmental assessment, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and energetic.
- Familiarity with Arabian Gulf habitats and species.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Earth.
