Overview
The Junior Marine Mechanic/Engineer, under the supervision of the Senior Marine Mechanic/Engineer, will perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs to all systems categorized as Hull, Mechanical, Electrical(HME), and Hydraulic. The Junior Marine Mechanic/Engineer reports to the Boat Captain while underway. All duties and responsibilities will be performed by the Business Intelligence Analyst per the Core Values of Cayuse.

Pay Range
USD $19.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.

Responsibilities
- The Junior Marine Mechanic/Engineer will report all discrepancies to the Senior Marine Mechanic/Engineer
- The Junior Marine Mechanic/Engineer will be qualified to fill the Senior Marine Mechanic/Engineer position for Underway Mission Support, in the absence of the Senior Marine Mechanic/Engineer
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- US Coast Guard (USCG) Wiper license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug check
- Secret Clearance required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Perform well in a position of trust and responsibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors on a boat.
- Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
- Must be able to work in any condition like bending, twisting, and standing to execute normal job duties.
- May be exposed to very hot or cold temperatures.
- Ability to perform duties for an extended period of time
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of the duties.
- May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
