Amentum is looking for a Marine Electrician to join our team in Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission. This is a shore-based position where the electrician is responsible for the planned maintenance, repair, and installation of new electrical equipment on all AUTEC vessels and deck support equipment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

- Performs duties of Marine Electrician.
- Installs new cabling aboard ship.
- Trouble shoots and repairs all electrical systems to include, power distribution, electrical control systems, power generation, lighting, heating and ventilation, alarm systems, and navigation lighting.
- Operates from Marine Electric Shop while maintaining records, orders and receives materials.
- Maintains shop inventory and critical spares on site.
- Supervises one indigenous electrical helper.
- Assigns tasks and insures timely completion of same in accordance with proper electrical standards.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested.
- High School Diploma and a Graduate of a Trade School or 10 years Military, or Commercial experience aboard ship in the capacity of Chief Electrician or as a Shipyard Electrician in a commercial shipyard.
- Marine Electrical experience / background is required, i.e. familiarity with ship-based power generation and distribution systems, marine electronics such as radar systems, navigation controls, and alarm management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of 3 phase power systems to include power generation, distribution, electric motors and generators.
- Must be fully knowledgeable of low voltage D/C alarm and lighting systems and control systems.
- Fully qualified to perform repairs to 480 VAC 3 phase, 220 & 115 VAC single phase, 24 & 12 VDC power systems as well as control voltage systems aboard AUTEC vessels.
- Must be fully capable of trouble shooting and performing repairs to diesel generators, voltage regulators, electric motors, power distribution systems, switchboards, and lighting systems.
- Must be capable of utilizing test equipment, Meggers, Volt Ohm Meters, etc. to assess condition of circuitry, and make repairs as necessary.
- Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
- Valid passport required.

- Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
- Chief Electricians License preferred.
