The position will play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of Electrical, Electronic and control systems aboard their vessel, ensuring they meet the high standards for the customers to rely on.
Position Overview
As a Marine Electrician based in Gladstone, you will report directly to the General Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the maintenance and repair of all electrical systems aboard vessels, working closely with the shore-based maintenance team, technical superintendent, and crew. Your focus will be on keeping our vessels running smoothly while adhering to safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, and control systems aboard vessels
- Collaborate with shore-based maintenance teams and crew to ensure effective planned maintenance systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and safety standards
- Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support to resolve electrical issues promptly and effectively
- Supervise electrical maintenance activities and contribute to a safe working environment for all crew members
- Electrical Trade Certificate with 2-5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical regulations and safety standards
- Problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Confident in using electrical diagnostic tools and software
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Previous experience in the marine industry is a distinct advantage
