Do you want to join one of Denmarks renowned consulting companies, creating value for customers, people, and societies worldwide? Can you use your extensive knowledge within marine structural engineering to assist our clients and the green transition? And are you an experienced Marine Engineer with a relevant degree and a wish to develop your skills even further? Then, here is your chance to convert aspirations into actions.

Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrow

To help us deliver high-quality solutions to our clients, we are looking for a Structural Marine Engineer to join our team. We are more than 6 people working alongside our customers on some of Denmark's most significant projects. By having structural, geotechnical and hydraulic engineers working side by side we are consistently bringing cross-discipline thinking and effective teamwork to every project. And we have contributed to projects like Lynetteholmen reclamation project, channel system in Nordhavn (Roer Kanal) and habour expansion of Søby harbour.

As our new Structural Marine Engineer, you are going to work closely with a team of experts and will report to the Head of Discipline.

Your key tasks will be:
  • Acting as a Marine Structural Specialist or as a Marine Structural Discipline Lead for port, terminal, and marine infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes that meet their needs and align with our sustainability goals.
  • Acting as a Project Manager in small sized marine engineering projects.
  • Engage with technical networks to facilitate the development of innovative approaches, as well as new methods and workflows that integrate the latest technology and best practices.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future

The first step to thriving in this role is that you are motivated to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:
  • A degree in civil (or structural or geotechnical or marine) engineering with 3-8 years of experience in an engineering (consultancy).
  • Scandinavian consultancy experience in designing berthing structures and other structures in the marine environment such as dolphins, trestles, water intakes/outfalls, etc.
  • Proficiency with quay equipment, and other elements of port design.
  • Practical knowledge of concrete and steel structural design and detailing.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant building industry codes in Denmark and other Scandinavian countries. Experience with BS 6349, and PIANC is considered beneficial.
  • Experience with common structural (or geotechnical) packages.
  • Domestic and Scandinavian marine / coastal market awareness is beneficial.
  • Fluency in Danish or one of the other Scandinavian languages.
