Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Marine Structural Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing marine structures for various vessels and offshore platforms.
  • Develop and review structural designs for marine vessels and offshore structures using CAD software
  • Perform complex structural calculations and finite element analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of marine structures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other ship systems
  • Ensure compliance with marine engineering standards, regulations, and classification society rules
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for shipyard construction and client approval
  • Conduct site visits to shipyards and offshore locations for inspections and problem-solving
  • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, weight reduction, and improved performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative construction techniques
  • Provide technical support during construction and installation phases of projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marine structural engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and finite element analysis (FEA) software
  • Strong understanding of marine vessel structures, systems, and offshore platforms
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, materials, and marine engineering standards
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical writing and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations and classification society rules
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel to shipyards and offshore sites as needed
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Additional Information

Preferred:
  • Experience in bookkeeping or other relevant fields.
  • Professional certification obtained, in progress, or the willingness to pursue it.
