We are currently seeking a Maritime Engineer/ Project Engineer to join the WSP Maritime Team in the United Arab Emirates.
As a Maritime Engineer and Project Engineer working for WSP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the project manager and project leads in the management, planning, design and execution of marine projects in the UAE and wider gulf region. As such, you should have a strong technical background and a passion for project management, coastal, marine structures and general maritime engineering.
This role requires strong engineering skills, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. You will also be responsible for supporting project managers in large-scale projects and helping to maintain project schedules, quality deliverables, and client satisfaction.

Your new role, what's involved?
- Experience with design and site construction of maritime projects such as, ports, terminals, waterfront development and shore protection systems.
- Support the project manager in large and multi-disciplined projects.
- Familiar with project schedule, baseline schedule, WBSs, schedule analysis of project schedule interdependencies, variances, floats, constraints, risks, critical and longest paths.
- Conduct numerical modeling for hydrodynamics, morphological changes, and wave analysis using software like DHI MIKE, Delft3D
- Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Autodesk Robot and technical tools such as MathCAD.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Conduct site visits, construction supervision, and inspections.
- Ensure project documentation and deliverables meet WSP quality standards and implement QA/QC processes to maintain high standards in execution.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering, structural engineering coastal engineering or a related field.
- Charted or working toward chartership with the ICE or similar governing body advantageous.
- 5 years' experience in maritime engineering and project management. UAE and KSA experience advantageous.
- Good confident communication, with good writing and presentation skills and Strong client facing skillswith the ability to manage project stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
