Role summary
Lead the naval architectural aspects of ship-level and fleet-level digital twin initiatives by defining physical-model requirements, validating hydrodynamic and structural models, and ensuring the digital twin accurately represents vessel performance across design, operation, and maintenance phases.
Required qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Experience: 12+ years practical naval-architecture experience covering ship hydrodynamics, resistance & powering, seakeeping, stability and structural load analysis.
- Modeling background: Hands-on experience with CFD, seakeeping tools, hydrostatic calculations, powering regression, or structural FE methods and interpretation of results.
- Experience in Sustainability or Energy or Utility Monitoring in Maritime industry
- Experience in Sea and Onshore Travel Logistics, and able to understand relevant use cases
- Experience in enterprise application development/maintenance for Marine domain
- Sea trials familiarity: Direct involvement in planning, executing and analysing sea trials, tank tests, inclining experiments or full-scale trials.
- Data mindset: Comfortable working with telemetry, time-series data, data quality issues, and translating physical models into measurable signals.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain technical assumptions to product, data and operations teams.
