Job Description

DNV Maritime Area South America is seeking an Intern to join our highly competent team of Ships in Operation Unit (SiO) in Rio de Janeiro.

What You'll Do
  • Learn and apply DNV methods to improve business performance, focusing on Ships in operation along Brazilian coast
  • DNV uses a 70-20-10 approach to education, so you will learn from experiences, lectures, and being mentored by experts in the industry.

  • Visit customer locations and learn from our surveyors in the field
Main tasks
  • Support on resource planning for ships in operation activities
  • Support on technical proposals
  • Interface with external and internal Clients
  • Support on administrative tasks

Qualifications

Position:
  • Studying Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture with strong analytical and mathematical skills and graduation predicted to December 2026 or later
  • A passion for the company's objective to safeguard life, property and the environment
  • Strong interest in industry
  • Native in Portuguese language and strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and in writing
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate across groups and other offices for shared goals and aims
