JOB PURPOSE

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, innovative Naval Architect to join our growing New Building Technical team. Reporting to the Vice President - President's office, Construction, Maintenance & Guarantee, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the construction and repair of our global Cruise fleet. In this role, you will be required to have a strong understanding of engineering principles, enjoy working with creativity, and have excellent attention to detail.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Participates in the design and development of Cruise ships and relevant structures for new building and conversion/repair projects

• Carries out detailed design plans, drawings and specifications

• Provides technical support and troubleshooting during the construction and maintenance phases

• Ensures that the solutions proposed are in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols

• Conducts feasibility studies and risk assessments

• Collaborates with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success

• Follows and stays up to date with the latest advancements in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

• Master's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering

• Professional working experience as a Naval Architect or Marine Engineer

• Experience with advanced materials and technologies in marine construction (preferred)

• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools

• Experience with Napa Onboard support and updates (preferred)

• Familiarity with Environmental and Sustainability considerations in Naval design (preferred)

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

• Experience with vessels > 150m (preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fluent spoken and written English

The exiting right to work in the UK is preferred
