Internal Communication:
Manager & Superintendent
Purpose:
Provide updates and progress reports on duties. Inform of any problems.
External Communication:

Occupational Health & Safety and Environment
Accountability:
Are accountable for their acts and omissions.
Responsibility:
To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.
Authority:
To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.
Responsibilities
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Testing, maintenance and repair of ROV systems and ancillary equipment
• ROV system fault finding and repair
• Assist with system certification, PMS and mobilisation / de-mobilisation activities
• Provide technical and operational support to ROV Superintendent and Workshop Manager
• Complete electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic work activities Carry out electrical and mechanical main lift terminations
• Support operational ROV systems as required
• Assist in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts to ensure they are available when required Ensure ROV workshop critical spares and stock levels are maintained
• Update and Maintain ROV system service records Complete job cards
• Interface with other workshop disciplines as and when required
• Responsible for own occupational safety/health, safety of fe llow employees and members of the public.
• Ensure safe operations to avoid high impact on the environment
• Maintain good housekeeping of the ROV workshop area
• Assist in the implementation of departmental processes to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements
• Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes to ensure the health and safety of employees and the protection of the environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or exceptionally approved by the VP HR, with the endorsement of BU's MLT, vocational qualification (electricity and/or hydraulics and/or mechanics) and industry recognized certificates.
Professional Experience:
- 5 - 7 years in ROV related services
- 3 years of which in a supervisory position
Geographic Experience:
- Is an advantage
Computer Skills:
- Good knowledge of Office and web applications
Language Skills:
- Business fluent English
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Electronics, high voltage electrical equipment
- Understanding of hydraulic equipment preferred
