In KONE SPA, we are looking for a Senior Marine Project Manager, based in Monfalcone (GO) to join our team and take ownership of high-impact projects in the maritime industry.

Your Role

As a Senior Marine Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of assigned marine projects. You will act as the key interface between internal teams and external stakeholders-especially our customers-ensuring seamless collaboration and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Project Management
  • Lead the full lifecycle of marine projects from order to delivery and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with Marine Operational Guidelines.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget in line with contractual and internal objectives.
  • Drive integrated project planning and transparent communication with customers and internal teams.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and shipyards.
  • Ensure proactive communication and alignment with all stakeholders.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable project plans.
Sales Support
  • Provide execution insights and lessons learned to support tendering for new/sister ships.
  • Offer expertise on customer-specific requirements and site logistics.
Technical & Specification Management
  • Oversee the drawing approval process in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of technical documentation and "as-built" drawings.
Leadership & Team Coordination
  • Lead cross-functional project teams across the full value chain.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing, competence development, and safety awareness.
  • Monitor project performance and implement continuous improvement actions.
Financial & Risk Management
  • Manage project financials including forecasting, cash flow, and revenue.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in product and service release briefings.
  • Provide feedback to product management on standardization and customization needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the marine or industrial sector.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical understanding of marine systems and project workflows.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Italian mother tongue and fluent in English.
