We are seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer with Chartered level of experience to join our rapidly growing and successful Maritime business. Your marine project work will range from technical design of new berths to management and development of team members as part of a wider project delivery. Your interest in marine project work can range from professional to personal interest and we will capture your enthusiasm and develop your skills by working closely within our national and international teams to deliver exciting projects, engage with clients and sharing and developing your knowledge and interests in sustainability, biodiversity and carbon reduction as part of our ambition for the creation a more sustainable construction industry.

Your new role
Your marine project work will range from technical design of new projects to management and development of team members as part of a wider project delivery. Your interest in marine project work can range from professional to personal interest and we will capture your enthusiasm and develop your skills by working closely within our national and international teams to deliver exciting projects, engage with clients and sharing and developing your knowledge and interests in sustainability, biodiversity and carbon reduction as part of our ambition for the creation a more sustainable construction industry.
As one of our new Senior Engineers you will be joining a highly collaborative team, who are currently engaged in many high-profile multi-discipline maritime projects ranging across container terminals, ro-ro berths, dry bulk, fishing ports, ferry & cruise terminals, marinas, jetties, coastal protection, shipyards and dockyards as well as world class waterfront developments.
Our maritime team leads our port and marine projects and manages other disciplines to input and collaboratively provide their skills in environmental, consenting, buildings, MEP, etc.
Our UK team closely collaborates within our Global Ports Marine and Waterways Service Line assisting our colleagues in the Nordics, Germany, Spain, Italy and Americas on their projects as well as jointly delivering projects in many other exciting geographies around the world.
We pride ourselves on delivering sustainability projects ranging from the new harbours for the British Antarctic Survey, the new container terminal extension at London Gateway port, Dover's new Western Docks Revival and Portland's new deep-water berth. Your skills will also be used and developed on a wider range of projects such as Hull's new floating cruise terminal, and many of the floating ferry terminals on the River Thames.'

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Leading diverse projects and innovations in sustainability and carbon reduction in the maritime world
- Working directly with Clients and Stakeholders such as ABP, Peel Ports and waterfront development
- Working in a multi-disciplinary market to drive and deliver exciting projects and develop your skills cross-discipline
- Bachelors/Master's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Ideally Chartered (CEng) or working towards Chartership
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations, relevant Eurocodes and British Standards
