About the job SENIOR NAVAL ARCHITECT ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled Senior Naval Engineer to join our offshore project team. This role involves detailed design, analysis, and verification of marine and offshore structures, with a focus on lifting, grillage, and seafastening analysis using ANSYS. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects and strong proficiency in FEA and design software.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and analyze marine and offshore structures including platforms, floating systems, mooring arrangements, and transportation aids.
  • Perform detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to assess structural integrity under various loading conditions.
  • Lead technical work related to lifting operations, grillage design, and seafastening analysis, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations, providing optimized engineering solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with structural, marine, and project engineers to integrate naval engineering deliverables into broader project scopes.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, and reports to support design and field operations.
  • Use AutoCAD and Navisworks for drawing review, clash detection, and 3D model integration.
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and cross-functional engineering discussions.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and offshore surveys to verify installation integrity and design conformance.
  • Provide support during procurement, vendor evaluation, and bid assessments for marine systems and services.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant offshore experience, particularly in Oil & Gas and EPC contracting environments.
  • Strong expertise in ANSYS for structural FEA, including lifting, seafastening, and temporary structural design.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Navisworks; familiarity with tools like MOSES, Orca3D, or NAPA is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of offshore structural codes and standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, API).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical tasks and produce high-quality deliverables under tight timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of conveying engineering concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional certification such as PE license or equivalent is an advantage.
