This includes but is not limited to flood risk modelling, LLFA technical services and flood management solutions; as well as other water environment technical areas including Water EIA, WFD assessment, permitting applications, geomorphology and BNG. Your main responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Design and implement complex control system solutions to meet the high-level requirements, constraints or standards.</li><li>Working in a cross-disciplinary environment to develop solutions for new production and experimental test facilities; understanding functional requirements and performance capabilities of the system to facilitate effective system design.</li><li>Software Development: Write complex software modules from philosophy documents or transform obsolete control systems into modern, software-driven solutions.</li><li>Hardware Design: Design in detail new hardware solutions from concept documents such as P&amp;IDs, equipment schedule etc. for new installations as well as to replace outdated control systems or upgrade existing ones.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Identify and rectify issues during software/hardware integration testing and support the commissioning team during equipment/software installation.</li><li>Prepare technical reports and documentation to a standard compatible with engineering best practice.</li><li>Be the technical support to the supply chain, including the assessment of electrical and control system components and design definition updates. Also undertake the project planning and control to ensure cost and schedule adherence.</li></ul>Who we are looking for: Ideally you should have carried out a similar role in the industrial sector and have experience of the requirements in the manufacturing facilities and/or nuclear sector.
