We're on the lookout for a Marine Service Technician to join our Richmond, BC-based team. What You'll Do: <ul> <li>Install, troubleshoot, and test advanced marine systems - including radar, steering, and control systems - aboard ships and onshore.</li> <li>Lead shipboard installations and support sea trials to ensure optimal performance.</li> <li>Deliver hands-on training to crews and build strong customer relationships.</li> <li>Represent Sperry Marine with pride, promoting our products and services globally.</li></ul>Work Pattern &amp; Environment: This role is not your typical 9-5. Due to the nature of marine service work, you'll need to be flexible and ready for: <ul> <li>Anti-social hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.</li> <li>Overnight stays - sometimes at short notice - depending on vessel schedules and service needs.</li> <li>Offshore travel, including launch services up to 100 miles out and boarding via Jacob's ladder.</li> <li>Working at heights (up to 60 feet) or in confined spaces, and exposure to varying weather conditions.</li></ul>About You A proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service to our clients, known for reliability, adaptability, and professionalism. <ul> <li>Diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical field - or willingness to train in marine systems</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in English</li> <li>Ability to learn and assist in troubleshooting marine electronic systems (including PCB-level diagnostics)</li> <li>Basic understanding of technical schematics and blueprints - with training support available</li> <li>Physically able to lift 20-25 kg, work at heights, and in confined spaces</li> <li>Comfortable working aboard ships, offshore platforms, and in varied weather conditions</li> <li>Willing to travel (approx. 30%), work weekends, and respond to short-notice assignments</li> <li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record</li></ul>If this sounds like it matches your experience and what you'd love to do, we can't wait to hear from you!
