About us
Bord Iascaigh Mhara helps to develop the Irish seafood industry by providing technical expertise, business support, funding, training and promoting responsible environmental practice.
A Seafood Way of Life
As an island nation and with over 8,000 kms of coastland, Ireland has a rich tradition in fishing and aquaculture. Our coastal communities have worked in harmony with nature and have been to the forefront in ensuring the sustainable development of our natural resources, while passing on the knowledge, expertise and passion for the seafood way of life, throughout the generations.
The BIM team comes from a range of disciplines and backgrounds, from fishing gear technologists to nautical instructors, grant administrators to seafood development innovators, regional officers, economists and marine biologists.
BIM is an equal opportunities employer and values inclusivity and diversity in our workforce. We are committed to ensuring that all candidates can participate fully and fairly in the recruitment process. If you would like to discuss any additional requirements you have with us, please contact BIM’s HR Access Officer on HRinbox@bim.ie
