Your Role
As Technical Superintendent Vessel Construction, you will collaborate on the preliminary design, design, specifications for and follow-up of construction or conversion of a vessel or other large offshore or dredging equipment.

Your Role
As Technical Superintendent Vessel Construction, you will collaborate on the preliminary design, design, specifications for and follow-up of construction or conversion of a vessel or other large offshore or dredging equipment.
Your main duties and responsibilities:
- Studying and collaborating on the specifications, construction plans and all relevant documents regarding the construction;
- Help follow up, adjust and approve the design work and technical purchases, both from the shipyard and internally;
- Help support the design, construction and/or purchase of specific dredging and offshore equipment supplied to the shipyard, or manufactured by JDN;
- Help follow up the construction and construction supervision and ensure coordination with the shipyard of work and deliveries by JDN;
- Helping to monitor the testing programme and commissioning of the newly built ship;
- Helping to equip a ship with the necessary tools and spare parts;
- For some (sub)projects, these activities are carried out independently and under your own responsibility.
What do you need?
- You hold a Master's degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering option Maritime Engineering.
- You have just graduated or possess a first work experience.
- You have a thorough basic technical knowledge and a passion for engineering.
- You have an analytical mind to design, assess and improve systems.
- You are an organiser and can work efficiently independently.
- You have strong communication skills and can express yourself fluently in both Dutch and English.
