The Role
Our industry leading Coastal Engineering business continues to grow and offers individuals the opportunity to work in a business with a commitment to sustainability and innovation. Our projects cover multi-disciplinary services and provides great opportunity for cross functional collaboration with other sub-sectors. Join our well-established team of specialists across reclamation, coastal adaptation, restoration, coastal protection & resilience, and marine structures and further develop your career with an international consultancy.
We are seeking Civil or Environmental Engineers for the following;
- Assisting the team in planning & design works for civil engineering Projects (e.g. land reclamation, port construction and other coastal structures) for local and/or overseas
- Assisting the Executive Engineer / Design Manager to carry out:
- planning for site investigation and results interpretation,
- C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc)
- managing subcontracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc)
- managing main contracts
- Supervising both design and/or site work
- Ensuring all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice
- Engaging and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties
- Supporting on pursuit projects: assist in tender submissions
- Assist in other Coastal department activities i.e: beach clean-up, sports day, etc
- Bachelor's degree in civil / environmental engineering recognised by BCA/IES/ACES and from reputable university
- Fresh graduates who wish to develop a career within coastal engineering are welcome to apply
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player with the ability to multi-task
- Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful to achieve goals
- Relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure and/or reclamation projects will be well regarded (up to 5 years)
- Exposure to contract administration will be advantageous
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc will be advantageous
