This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic/technician to join the Le Boat team where you will play a key role in maintaining and preparing the charter boat fleet for and during the season.
You should be proficient in all operations and maintenance of boats including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. You will also instruct our customers on how to operate and manoeuvre their boat, prior to leaving on their holiday.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic/technician to join the Le Boat team where you will play a key role in maintaining and preparing the charter boat fleet for and during the season.
You should be proficient in all operations and maintenance of boats including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. You will also instruct our customers on how to operate and manoeuvre their boat, prior to leaving on their holiday.
What you will be doing
- Knowledge of marine diesel engine (knowledges of Nanni engine would be an advantage).
- You will carry out technical interventions on pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform installations of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to perform small cosmetic fiberglass repairs.
- Maintain the fleet to the highest of standards in terms of presentation to the customer and reliability.
- Maintain maintenance schedule as per manufactures warranty.
- Manage the stock inventory to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts.
- Instruct and educate clients during boat orientation and carry out handover tuition including the passage through a lock if needed.
- Ensure boat briefings and training leave customer feeling confident with their boat.
- Ability to travel with company vehicles to off-site locations to do emergency repairs and attend customer needs (a call out schedule will be put in place for out of hours support in season).
- Hauling/launching, commissioning and de-commissioning of fleet.
- Fuel dock operations as needed, watering, fuelling, and pumping out holding tanks.
- Ensure boats are in maintained in good condition, ready for their next departure
- Support customers throughout their cruise in terms of technical assistance, breakdown call outs and general tourist/boater information and advice.
- Enthusiasm and flexibility to carry out a wide range of duties determined by business needs.
- Must have proven years of experience as a Technician / Mechanic in marine or boating industry.
- Certificate from a marine college or equivalent (an advantage).
- Ability to read specifications and installation instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build internal relationships and deliver exceptional service to customers.
- Excellent organization prioritizing skills.
- A passion for boating and relevant boating experience.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, other language skills are beneficial like fluency in French or German.
- Valid driving license and experience.

- Summer season: Apr - Oct; Operating Days: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat (off days, Sun - then a Tue or Thur)
- Duty Call out Technician is by Rota, could be required to cover the region and flexibility to work on weekends.
- Winter season: Nov - Mar; operating Mon - Fri
